Chain of custody
Evidence retrieval
The video, audio and location data captured by Five Angels during an alert are encrypted and stored on servers located in France. They are never handed to a private individual, not even the person filmed: they are only released to the authorities, upon a judicial request. This page lets users ask for their evidence to be preserved, and lets authorities request its disclosure.
Never handed to individuals
Neither to the protected person nor to their guardian angels. Nobody can obtain your recordings by pretending to be you or the courts.
Only upon judicial request
The material is delivered directly to the investigating unit or the magistrate who requests it, within an identified procedure.
Limited retention
Once the retention period has elapsed, the files are permanently destroyed. A preservation request suspends that deletion.
How long does the evidence exist?
2 days
after a confirmed return to safety
You indicated you were safe after the alert was triggered.
30 days
if the alert was never closed
No return to safety was recorded.
Two days is very short for a judicial request to reach us. If legal action is being considered, ask for preservation without delay. The full retention details are in our privacy policy.
In immediate danger, call 112 or text 114 (in France). This page is not an emergency channel.
Choose your situation
Preserve my evidence
If legal action has started or is about to (complaint, police report, referral), ask us to set your recordings aside. We then suspend their automatic deletion until the investigating unit sends its request.
- 01
File a complaint
With a police station, a gendarmerie unit or the public prosecutor. Only they can issue the judicial request.
- 02
Ask for preservation
With the form below. We confirm by email that the material has been set aside: keep that confirmation, investigators will need it.
- 03
Point investigators to us
Give them this page and the reference of your confirmation. They send us their request, we deliver the material to them.
Preservation does not replace the judicial request
It only suspends automatic deletion. Without a subsequent judicial request, the evidence remains inaccessible and is eventually destroyed. You cannot retrieve it yourself.
