Does Five Angels work without an internet connection?

To work at its best, Five Angels needs an internet connection to transmit GPS coordinates and video evidence in real time. If you trigger an alert in an area without coverage, the app keeps capturing video sequences and stores them securely on the device. As soon as the connection is restored (4G, 5G or Wi-Fi), the upload to our secure servers resumes automatically.

Is my data confidential?

Yes. Video, audio and GPS data are transmitted over encrypted channels and hosted exclusively on secure servers in France. Your guardian angels can only access them during an active alert. Recordings are automatically deleted at the end of the standard retention period. If an alert is never closed with a return to safety, the video and audio recordings are kept for 30 days so that the authorities can request them.

Do my guardian angels need the app?

Yes, your guardian angels must install Five Angels to access the real-time dashboard: GPS position, video stream and intervention buttons. They receive a push notification as soon as an alert is triggered, even if the app is closed.

How much does the premium subscription cost?

Accepted Answer

The basic version of the app is entirely free: alerts, 5 guardians, GPS and video with no time limit. The AI Surveillance mode (preventive mode with automatic danger detection) is available as a premium subscription at €1.99 per month, with no commitment. Some partner organisations offer premium to their members within their coverage area.

How does the AI preventive mode work?

Preventive mode continuously records short audio sequences of about fifteen seconds, without using the camera, analysed immediately by the AI for distress signals (screams, aggression, specific keywords). You choose the length of the session when you start it; at the end of that time, the app asks you to confirm that you are safe and monitoring stops if you confirm. If you do not answer, or if the AI detects a real danger during the session, the system instantly switches to Alert mode and notifies your five guardian angels with your real-time GPS position.

What happens if my guardians do not respond?

Your five guardian angels are notified simultaneously. You can see how they respond in real time: who has seen the alert, who is on their way and how far away they are. If none of them can intervene, you can call 112 or text 114 (the French emergency SMS service). The SMS option automatically pre-fills a distress message with your identity and precise location.
